💳 Additional Charges & Collections Policy

To keep the Mobi platform fair and running smoothly, guests are expected to return vehicles in the same clean, fueled, and damage-free condition they received them. When issues arise, hosts are allowed to submit post-trip charges for reasonable costs related to misuse or extra work caused during your trip.

Mobi reviews these charges for fairness, but guests are responsible for any valid additional fees submitted through our platform.

Tickets & Tolls

Full amount of citation or toll (pay first, then upload for reimbursement)

Additional full day charge + $30 late fee

Smoking in Vehicle

Cost of cleaning + $50 inconvenience fee (only if smoking is prohibited and evidence is provided)

Unauthorized Pet Mess

Cost of cleaning + $50 inconvenience fee (for hair, odor, or stains left behind without prior approval)

Lost or Unreturned Items

Cost of replacement + $50 inconvenience fee lost keys, passes, or required accessories (actual cost + documentation)


📌 How Charges Are Handled

  1. Charges are submitted by hosts through Mobi’s Payment Collection Portal
  2. You’ll be notified of any charges and have a chance to review
  3. Charges must be paid in full before you can book another trip on Mobi
Unpaid balances will result in account suspension until resolved.

🧭 How to Avoid Extra Charges

  1. Return the car clean and with the correct fuel level
  2. Drive safely and follow traffic laws
  3. Don’t smoke, vape, or bring pets unless approved by the host
  4. Always return the car on time—or extend the trip in advance
  5. Treat the vehicle like it's your own
