🕓 Late Return Policy for Guests
Timely vehicle return is essential to keeping the Mobi platform fair and safe for all users. If a guest is late returning a vehicle or fails to end the trip properly, the following policy applies:
🚨 What Happens If You're Late
If you do not return and end your trip on time, or fail to extend the trip in advance, the following will occur:
- You will be automatically charged for an additional full day at the vehicle’s listed rate.
- If your payment fails, late fees and rental charges will continue to accrue until the vehicle is returned. Insurance may lapse, and you won’t be able to book again until the balance is paid.
- Mobi will alert the host to begin vehicle recovery procedures immediately.
💸 Fees You May Incur
If a trip runs late or the vehicle is not returned in acceptable condition, the following fees may apply:
Fee Type | Amount |
Late Return Fee | $30 |
Vehicle Recovery Fee | Cost of towing + $150 if the host has to recover a vehicle due to late return or abandonment |
Fuel Refill Charge | Cost of fuel + $10 inconvenience fee to Host |
Additional Rental & Insurance Charges | Full daily rate and related insurance fees for each late day to Host + Mobi |
Guests with unresolved late return charges or fees will have their Mobi account suspended until all outstanding amounts are paid in full. You will not be able to book or drive again on Mobi until your account is settled.

- Always end your trip on time through the Mobi platform.
- Need more time? Extend your trip in advance before it ends.
- Communicate with your host early if you're delayed.
