Mobi Insurance & Protection Plan for Hosts – What’s Covered

🛡️ Mobi Host Insurance Coverage & Protection Plan

Mobi partners with third-party insurance providers to offer protection for both hosts and guests while a vehicle is in use on the Mobi platform. Here's how our coverage works and what you need to know.

๐Ÿ” Coverage Overview

Every trip booked through Mobi includes insurance coverage, which is structured to protect both the guest and the host under the following terms:

โœ… Whatโ€™s Covered:
  1. Auto Liability Coverage: Meets or exceeds the minimum required by state law, including bodily injury and property damage liability.
  2. Physical Damage Coverage: Applies during active trips, for covered vehicles. Hosts are responsible for the deductible if damage occurs.
  3. Theft Protection: Requires prompt documentation and a police report.
Coverage is only valid during the trip period, and only when the guest is the authorized driver. Coverage does not extend beyond the platform or to unauthorized use.

๐Ÿ’ต Deductibles

  1. $2,500 deductible per physical damage or theft claim
    (Only applicable for vehicles valued under $55,000)
  2. Vehicles over $55,000 are not eligible for coverage on Mobi

๐Ÿ“ Claims Process

  1. Must document the condition of the vehicle (photos of all four corners) before and after the trip.
  2. Any damage must be reported within 3 days of vehicle return or when first discovered.
  3. Theft claims require a police report to be filed immediately.
Claims must be submitted directly to our insurance partner. Mobi does not adjudicate claims, but weโ€™re here to provide guidance.

๐Ÿ“Œ Important Notes

  1. Insurance is platform-specific and only applies while the vehicle is booked through Mobi. It does not replace any insurance you are legally required to carry.
  2. Hosts are responsible for maintaining personal or commercial insurance policies as required by state law.
  3. Mobi and our insurance partners do not file state vehicle registrations, provide plates, or manage DMV filings.

โš ๏ธ Period X Coverage

Insurance coverage does not automatically include Period X (when the vehicle is not actively on a Mobi trip). Additional insurance for this period may be available separately and must be purchased directly by the host.
