Repair Costs Exceed Your Claim Payment? | Mobi

What if the estimate and payment do not cover the entire repair?

Sometimes additional damage is discovered after a repair facility begins working on a vehicle. This is called a supplement.

An initial Mobi estimate represents the reasonable repair cost based on the damage that can be identified during the initial inspection. It does not necessarily mean that every part or operation needed to repair the vehicle will be visible before repairs begin.

If your repair shop discovers additional damage

Do not pay for or authorize additional accident-related repairs without first giving Mobi an opportunity to review them.

Ask your repair facility to prepare a supplement within 30 days of your preliminary claim payment identifying:

  • The additional damage discovered

  • Additional parts or labor being requested

  • Photos showing the additional damage

  • Supporting invoices, diagnostic information or documentation when applicable

Send the supplement to the Mobi Claims team at claims@drivemobi.com  and include your Mobi claim number.

Mobi will review the additional damage and determine whether it is related to the covered incident and whether the requested repair costs are reasonable and necessary.

Does Mobi automatically pay every supplement?

No.

Approval of the original estimate does not automatically mean that every additional repair or supplement will be covered.

Supplements remain subject to the Vehicle Protection Plan Terms, including applicable exclusions, deductibles, repair standards, Actual Cash Value and the Maximum Ultimate Payment for the claim.

Whenever possible, have your repair facility submit a supplement before completing the additional work.
