What You Need to Report a Vehicle Claim | Mobi

What do I need to provide in order to report a claim?

The more information you provide when reporting an incident, the faster Mobi can generally investigate the claim.

Whenever possible, please provide:

  • Your Mobi Trip or Reservation ID

  • Vehicle year, make, model and VIN

  • Date, time and location of the incident

  • A description of what happened

  • Name of the Guest who was operating the vehicle

  • Photos of the vehicle damage

  • Photos of the accident scene, if available

  • Contact and insurance information for other involved drivers

  • Police report or police report number, if applicable

  • Witness names and contact information, if available

  • Current location of the vehicle

  • Whether the vehicle is safe to drive

  • Tow or storage information, if applicable

  • Any communications relating to the incident

Mobi may also request additional documentation during the investigation, including proof of vehicle ownership, registration, insurance information, maintenance records, repair estimates, invoices, telematics information or statements from the Host, Guest or other involved parties.

Hosts must maintain an active underlying physical damage policy for vehicles participating in the Mobi Vehicle Protection Plan. Mobi may request proof of this coverage while evaluating a claim.

Don't worry if you don't have everything when you initially report the incident. Submit the claim promptly with the information you have, and the Claims team can request additional information as needed.
