How Do Vehicle Protection Plan Deductibles Work? | Mobi

How do deductibles work?

A deductible is the portion of an eligible physical damage claim that is the Host's responsibility under the selected Mobi Vehicle Protection Plan.

The deductible applies to each covered occurrence unless otherwise stated in the applicable Protection Plan.

For example:

Approved covered damage: $10,000
Host deductible: $2,500
Mobi Protection Plan payment: $7,500

You do not need to send Mobi a separate $2,500 payment. Instead, the deductible is subtracted from the amount otherwise payable under the Protection Plan.

What if the damage is less than my deductible?

If the amount of eligible damage does not exceed the applicable deductible, no Protection Plan payment will be issued.

For example:

Approved covered damage: $1,800
Host deductible: $2,500
Mobi Protection Plan payment: $0

The claim may still be documented and investigated even when the final amount falls below the deductible.

The deductible does not eliminate other Protection Plan terms or exclusions. Pre-existing damage, unrelated repairs, excluded items and amounts exceeding applicable limits may also remain the Host's responsibility.
